The security clearance process for government contract personnel is uniquely different than that of federal personnel. Most notably, contractors are subject to adjudication by the Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office (DISCO). Contractors who either unconsciously or consciously falsify/omit personal information in their security clearance package face denial and the loss of their job.
