Rachelle S. Young, Esq.

Associate

Rachelle S. Young is an Associate with Tully Rinckey PLLC and concentrates her practice in federal sector employment and labor law.

Rachelle provides representation to federal employees in a wide range of employment and labor matters, including claims of age, gender, race, national origin and color discrimination, sexual harassment, wrongful discharge, and retaliation. She has significant experience representing clients at various stages of the administrative process, as well as during settlement negotiations and mediations.

Rachelle has practiced frequently before federal, state, and District of Columbia Courts, in addition to representing clients before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the D.C. Office of Human Rights, and other state and local administrative bodies. Prior to joining Tully Rinckey PLLC, Rachelle worked at a well-respected firm in the D.C. area, where she represented federal, D.C. government, and private sector employees in administrative proceedings and lawsuits involving claims for overtime compensation, discipline and adverse actions, and claims under federal, state and local civil rights laws.

Rachelle received her juris doctorate from The George Washington University Law School in Washington, D.C. While pursuing her law degree, she joined the D.C. Law Students in Court Program and, as a D.C.-certified student-trial attorney, she represented local residents in the Landlord and Tenant and Small Claims Branches of D.C. Superior Court. Rachelle also participated in GWU's domestic violence clinic and interned at the Legal Aid Society and D.C. Office of the Attorney General.

Rachelle holds dual bachelor of science degrees in political science and in business management, from Southern Connecticut State University in New Haven, Conn., where she graduated with high honors and received top departmental awards.

Currently, Rachelle is actively involved in the National Employment Lawyers Association, the Metropolitan Washington Employment Lawyers Association, and the American Bar Association.
